ACOUSTIC STARTLE REFLEX
15kHz - 25kHz: This range activates the brainstem's startle circuit. It causes an involuntary orientation response. The dog *must* stop what they are doing to process the sound.
Tuning: Older dogs lose high-frequency hearing. If 15kHz doesn't work, slide down to 12kHz. If the dog is sensitive, slide up to 20kHz.
