Amygdala Rewiring: Phobias are a "prediction error" in the brain. The dog hears thunder and predicts pain/danger. By playing the sound at low volume without a negative consequence, we weaken the neural pathway connecting the sound to the fear response.

Counter-Conditioning: Feed high-value treats while the sound plays. This rewrites the code: Thunder != Fear. Thunder = Chicken.
